Applications are open for singers for Garsington Opera’s 2024 Alvarez Young Artists’ Programme. Most successful applicants will sing in the chorus, but applicants will also be considered for covers and small roles, which may or may not be part of a chorus contract. There is also the opportunity to take part in development performance(s), masterclasses, recitals and other enrichment activities.
2024 Season:
Rameau, Platée in French (Conductor: Paul Agnew, Director: Louisa Muller, The English Concert)
Mozart, Le nozze di Figaro in Italian (Conductor: Tabita Berglund, Director: John Cox, Revival Director: Bruno Ravella, Philharmonia Orchestra)

The main OperaFirst show next year will be Le nozze di Figaro, where covers will perform a full show with the Philharmonia Orchestra for a schools’ audience. We also hope to do a reduced A Midsummer Night’s Dream for a primary school audience with the Philharmonia Orchestra.

In all cases you must be available if required for weekends, evenings and bank holidays. Please note that covers will be required before these dates.
