Support the Pathways Programme

The opening of Garsington Studios in Summer 2024 was a pivotal moment in our history, enabling a step change in our work and providing a catalyst to fulfil our ambitions to share our extraordinary art form with as many people as possible.

Our Pathways Programme brings together and extends three key areas of our work, GO Participate, our learning & participation programme, our Emerging Artists’ programme, and Production Arts Training programme, offering opportunities to people of all ages and backgrounds to develop their creativity, whilst also presenting a potential pathway to professional life in all aspects of our art form.

Each year this will support:

• Introducing up to 1,000 children across 20 schools to opera for the first time

• Year-round performance opportunities for 100 young people in our Youth Company

• 70 members of our Adult Company rehearsing and performing across the year

• Create-an-Opera workshops for 100 local and international secondary age students

• 40 Emerging Artists receiving professional experience and training during our Summer Festival

• Discovery Workshops to introduce local people of all ages to singing, dance and creative production arts

• Backstage Training Opportunities across multiple roles for young people and early-career professionals

• Bringing together over 200 professional and amateur performers for our 2027 Community Opera

To deliver the long-term success of this work, we have created the Leonard Ingrams Pathways Fund, named in tribute to our founder’s vision for creative excellence. With your help, our goal is to raise £2.5 million to support the Pathways Programme over the next three years.
