Rehearsal and Coaching Rooms
In addition to our three main studio spaces, we also have a range of smaller rooms which, though designed for individual practice and one-on-one coaching sessions, can be used for a wide range of purposes. Our largest of these spaces, the Barker Room, is a spacious room with capacity for up to 23 people, whether for a board meeting or for a small scale rehearsal. The rest of the spaces feature a range of sizes, from our Pell and Stevenson Rooms, which could be used as breakout spaces for a meeting or teaching spaces, to our smaller music rooms for warm ups and independent practice. All these spaces are located along the same corridor on our First Floor (lift access available) and includes access to a small kitchenette as part of the ‘suite’ of rooms.
Barker Room
The Barker Room is a multi-purpose space boasting some of the best views out across the rolling Chilterns hills and surrounding ancient woodland. Generally set for meetings of up to 23 people, the Barker Room has a large mobile screen, with in-built remote meeting functionalities and excellent connectivity. Though often used for meetings or read-throughs, the space also has acoustic paneling and is appropriate for rehearsals both musical and otherwise.
Pell Room
The Pell Room, most often set appropriate for a meeting, has a large moveable screen unit but can be hired either as an empty space or with a piano included. The room has been acoustically optimised with angled walls and panels, as well as being bathed in natural light from the windows out to the surrounding woodland. Suitable for groups sized between 1-10 in number.
Stevenson Room
The Stevenson Room is a dedicated coaching and rehearsal room and is home to one of our grand pianos, but can be hired either as an empty space or with tables and chairs depending on your intended use. The room has been acoustically optimised with angled walls and panels, as well as natural light with views over our South facing courtyard. Suitable for groups sized between 1-10 in number.
Individual Practice Rooms
The D.M. Thomas and Everett Rooms are our dedicated independent practice rooms. Each room has an electric piano for private use as well as being acoustically optimised with angled walls and paneling. These spaces are suitable for both independent and partnered work, comfortably fitting up to three people. These rooms are generally used as supplementary to other room hires or building use, however can also be hired independently on a case-by-case basis.
Lionel Anthony Room
The Lionel Anthony Room is the smallest of our three coaching rooms, with capacity of up to 7 people, but just like our others is totally flexible in its use and set up. The only room on this floor without an external window, this room nevertheless gets plenty of natural light through its distinctive porthole that looks out into our bright and airy foyer. Suitable for coaching sessions using the permanent in-room piano, meetings with tables brought in, or for a break out space as an empty room.
