The Garsington Shop

Tucked beside the Opera Pavilion, the Garsington Opera shop is a curated space created by a dedicated team that source items to intertwine and feed into four concepts that encompass a quintessential Garsington experience.

These key concepts are, ‘What to wear to the opera’, ‘An English Summer Picnic’, ‘Caught out by the weather’ and ‘The Garden at Garsington’. Within these concepts sits a handpicked selection of pieces that celebrate the individuality of the designers and makers who produce work each year specifically for Garsington, as well as reflect the Garsington summer we are all familiar with.

All profit that is made from the shop goes back into Garsington Opera to support the productions and is another way of supporting us.

What to wear to the Opera

A carefully chosen selection of timeless jackets and accessories ranging from silk embroidered coats to patterned bow ties and silk scarves to antique jewellery that you will turn to season after season.

Velvet adds depth for any occasion. Choose from a wide range of velvet products on offer this summer, from long velvet jackets to reversible velvet scarves and men’s velvet waistcoats.

Add a soft touch with silk bow ties in bold patterns or silk scarves designed with Garsington productions as a source of inspiration.

Embellish your outfit with a collection of antique jewellery and cufflinks handpicked for Garsington Opera and jewellery influenced by the beautiful surroundings of Wormsley.

An English Summer Picnic

The shop offers all the extras you might need for a glorious English summer picnic, with block printed tablecloths and napkins created for Garsington Opera, and chocolates for those with a sweet tooth.

We offer bamboo cutlery in a jute pouch and tin plates depicting locations and imagery that can be seen around Wormsley, from the kitchen garden to the familiar deer that can been seen roaming around the estate.

For those who might forget, bottle openers are also available so you can begin your evening the right way.

Caught out by the weather

The unpredictable English weather has caught us out one too many times.

This year we are offering wool rugs to keep the evening chill away, summer hats for those glorious sunny evenings, and umbrellas illustrated with iconic Garsington features for when the heavens decide to open.

The Garden at Garsington

Experienced potter Irena Sibrijns brings us a choice of colourful and unique, ornamental and functional ceramic creations. Irena has crafted original designs for Garsington, incorporating her style that has sprung from the English 20th century decorative arts tradition.

Irena is working towards a major exhibition at Contemporary Ceramics in London, running from 29 May to 21 June.

You’ll also find postcards featuring artwork featuring floral artwork from Garsington, perfect for sending to loved ones or as a keepsake to remember your 2025 Garsington experience.
