Conveniently placed near the Opera Pavilion, the much-loved Garsington Opera shop is created specially each year with a collection of enticing items which loosely fit into four concepts that encompass a quintessential Garsington experience.
The four concepts are, ‘what to wear to the opera’, ‘an English summer picnic’, ‘caught out by the weather’ and ‘the garden at Garsington’. The items are all handpicked and celebrate the individuality of the designers and makers who create work specifically for Garsington. Most ranges are new each year while others are brought back by popular demand.
All profit that is made from the shop goes towards supporting our productions and is another way of supporting Garsington Opera.
What to wear to the opera
A selection of beautiful, timeless jackets and accessories ranging from silk embroidered coats, to patterned bow ties and silk scarves for you to turn to season after season.
Velvet adds depth for any occasion. Choose from our tempting range of velvet products on offer this summer, including long velvet jackets, reversible velvet scarves, and men’s velvet waistcoats.
Our range of individually designed silk bow ties in bold patterns are always a best seller, and the designs on our silk scarves are inspired by Garsington productions.
Embellish your outfit with a collection of antique jewellery and cufflinks handpicked for Garsington Opera, or choose from our specially created jewellery influenced by the beautiful surroundings of Wormsley.

An English summer picnic
The shop offers all the extras you might need for a glorious English summer picnic – perfect for use during the opera festival or indeed in your own garden, with block printed tablecloths and napkins created for Garsington Opera, and chocolates for those with a sweet tooth.
We offer bamboo cutlery in a jute pouch and pretty tin plates depicting scenes of Wormsley with Red Kites, deer, our picturesque tents, and views of the walled garden.
And we can even help out should you find you’ve forgotten your bottle opener!
Caught out by the weather
In the unlikely event that you are caught out by our unpredictable English weather, just pop into the shop to find what you need.
This year we have summer hats for those glorious sunny evenings, bespoke umbrellas illustrated with iconic Garsington features and gorgeous wool rugs should it be necessary to keep the evening chill away.

The garden at Garsington
We are delighted that Irena Sibrijns has had time to create a range of colourful ceramics for us again this year, showcasing her unique designs and colour combinations.
Irena’s pieces can also be seen in a major exhibition at Contemporary Ceramics in London, running from 29 May to 21 June.
Our postcards feature floral artwork in the gardens at Wormsley, perfect for sending as thank you notes or as a keepsake to remember your 2025 Garsington experience.
