Gone Fishing

A group of children find themselves on the deck of a huge sailing ship with a Queen for its figure head. They were previously asleep in their bedrooms – perhaps this is all a dream? They embark on a voyage that promises to change them forever.

Repertoire for the piece was curated by Suzi Zumpe and Karen Gillingham and arranged by composer Richard Taylor. It’s an opportunity for young people to journey through many different operatic stories, eras and styles, exploring composers ranging from Mozart to Rossini and John Adams.
