Huw Montague Rendall & Carrie-Ann Matheson
Garsington Opera’s Concert Series in association with Wigmore Hall
Event details
5 March 2027
Ahead of their performances at the Wiener Konzerthaus and Carnegie Hall, Gramophone Award-winning baritone Huw Montague Rendall and pianist Carrie-Ann Matheson join us for a programme of transporting songs about travel and love, featuring Jonathan Dove’s Three Love Songs, with words by David Rendall, and Vaughan Williams’s Songs of Travel, set to words by Robert Louis Stevenson, an established pillar of English art song. Huw last performed at Garsington as Prince of Mantua in Fantasio in 2019.
If you would like to stay for supper afterwards, an informal buffet-style meal will be served in the café after the performance at shared tables. The two-course menu is £40 per person and includes a glass of house wine (see below for details).
