Facilities and Services
In addition to our wide range of flexible rooms and spaces available for dry hire across Garsington Studios, we understand that often a booking requires extra facilities or services to make it run smoothly. From our collection of hireable pianos at range of costs, including a Steinway Model D, to a suite of WHaM and wardrobe facilities on our lower ground floor, Garsington Studios aims to provide the flexibility and facilities to meet your unique needs and requirements.
Our Pianos
Whether you’re doing a recording for solo piano, rehearsing a musical or opera, or just want a quiet place to practice by yourself, one of the pianos from our selection at Garsington Studios will suit your needs. We are proud to be the home of a Steinway Model D, as well as three top quality Yamaha grand pianos (two C3XTAs and a C5X). If your not looking to use one of our grand pianos, we also have a range of acoustic upright and electric pianos for hire including a Yamaha U1, a Bechstein Upright, and several electric Yamahas. All our coaching and rehearsal rooms come with pianos included in the room hire, with our coaching rooms housing grand pianos and our practice rooms equipped with Yamaha Clavinova CLP775s.

WHaM & Wardrobe
On our lower-ground floor we have a suite of rooms specifically designed to accommodate WHaM (wigs, hair and makeup) and wardrobe. With plenty of workshop space, fitting rooms and a specialised salon-style hair-washing sink in our ‘wigs’ room, these spaces are perfectly suited to be used for anything from styling to costume fittings. As part of this suite there is also a dedicated ‘office’ space for use by your team as well as an easily accessible laundry on the same floor. This suite is fully accessible, with lift access down from the ground floor.
Accommodation
Garsington Studios currently has four double rooms in Wallace Hill Cottage available to hire, either as an add-on to booking one of our spaces or independently as a charming place to stay in the middle of the Chilterns, with plenty of public footpaths within and outwith the stunning Wormsley estate. In 2025 our work on the nearby farmhouse will be completed, opening up 6 newly refurbished ensuite rooms to bookings. Both the cottage and farmhouse provide excellent on-site accommodation, as well as nearby access to Stokenchurch village merely 5 minutes away.
Parking & Transport
Located on a quiet, private estate just minutes from the M40, J5, driving to Garsington Studios couldn’t be easier, with between 70-80 free on-site parking spaces available for use. London is only a 40 minute drive, while Oxford is 30 minutes away. There is also space for larger vans and HGVs around the site, as well as easy vehicle access to a loading dock that leads directly into all three of our studio spaces.
High Wycombe, only 25-30mins from London, is our closest station and only 15 minutes away from the Studios by car, with plenty of taxis available in the area if coming by train.
Kitchens & Catering
On the ground floor of Garsington Studios, accompanied by café-style seating for up to 100 people, is a self-service kitchenette which is a communal space that can be used by everyone in the Studios at no extra cost. On the other side of the foyer is a canteen-stye service area, leading out from a fully equipped industrial kitchen. Use of the industrial kitchen must be agreed in advance with Studios Management, there is an extra cost for its hire. On the first floor, there is another kitchenette that serves the coaching and practice rooms as well as the Barker Room, use of which is included in the hire cost of those spaces.
Please note that currently we operate on a dry hire basis and that we do not provide any form of catering, however on enquiry we may be able to suggest some recommended caterers who are familiar with working in the Studios.
