Takács Quartet
Garsington Opera’s Concert Series in association with Wigmore Hall
Event details
14 November 2026
The world-renowned Takács Quartet perform a programme featuring Haydn’s supremely graceful String Quartet in C major and Schubert’s dramatic and deeply moving Death and the Maiden quartet, a work with a deep-rooted history for the ensemble, whose benchmark recording was released in 2006.
If you would like to stay for supper afterwards, an informal buffet-style meal will be served in the café after the performance at shared tables. The two-course menu is £40 per person and includes a glass of house wine (see below for details).
